Minda R. Schechter is Of Counsel in the firm’s Business Law and Intellectual Property groups. She represents clients in a variety of areas including antitrust, business transactions and patent licensing and litigation.

Minda is involved with technology development arrangements, complex business transactions and collaborative arrangements such as joint ventures, strategic alliances, and partnering arrangements, particularly involving technologies. Minda consults on business issues including marketing strategies, pricing and advertising, standard setting, patent-related antitrust issues, unfair business practices and dealership matters. She represents antitrust clients in civil and criminal antitrust litigation and investigations and counsels clients on business structures and strategy including mergers and acquisitions and Hart-Scott-Rodino filings and negotiation. As a registered patent attorney, Minda also assists clients with patent litigation, licensing, acquisitions and patent portfolio development.

Minda is an experienced speaker and lecturer. She was previously a member of the full time faculties of Columbia Law School in New York and Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. She has taught courses in Antitrust, Preventive Antitrust and Corporations as well as Technology Licensing and Antitrust Restraints. She is co-author and co-editor of the first treatise on California Antitrust Law. She is former Chair of the Antitrust and Trade Regulation Section of the State Bar of California and of the Antitrust and Unfair Business Practices Section of the Los Angeles County Bar.
